Discover Stauning Whisky — Guided Tour of the Distillery

Experience whisky-making up close at Stauning Whisky – from locally grown Danish grain, distillation in 24 small copper pot stills to the finished whisky in your glass. On the tour, you’ll follow the entire process through an award-winning Danish distillery, where time-honoured craftsmanship and modern innovation go hand in hand.

It sounds like the beginning of a classic joke when you ask what four engineers, a teacher, a chef, a butcher, a pilot and a doctor have in common. The answer, however, is Stauning Whisky.

What began as a small distillery out west has grown over the years – but the scent of malt, the curiosity and the desire to do things our own way are still very much part of who we are.

Join us on a journey through Stauning’s whisky production and hear the story of the nine friends behind it all. Experience every step of the process up close – from malting Danish barley and rye to distillation in our 24 direct-fired copper pot stills. Along the way, you’ll also experience the distinctive architecture of the distillery, where Danish design, functionality and openness create the setting for our production.

You can choose to finish the tour with a tasting of three different Stauning whiskies and discover how our local ingredients, production methods and casks each shape the character of the whisky in the glass.

After the tour, you’re of course welcome to visit the distillery shop, explore our range of whiskies and take a little piece of Stauning home with you.
