Exclusive whisky tasting at Stauning Whisky

Take a behind-the-scenes tour of the Stauning Whisky distillery. On the tour, you will learn about malting, mashing, fermentation, distillation, and whisky storage. Afterwards, the tour continues to Stauning Whisky's newly renovated tasting room in their old bottle warehouse, where you can see the oldest bottles from the first bottlings and special bottlings over the years. Here, there will be an intimate whisky tasting, where there will be time for tranquility, immersion, and dialogue. You will get to taste bestsellers such as Rye, Kaos, and Smoke, as well as discontinued bottlings and other surprises that are no longer for sale. You are guaranteed an experience for all the senses!

Cocktails & Tapas at Stauning Whisky and Lowlands

The experience starts with an exciting tour of the distillery in Stauning, where the skilled tour companions tell stories of Stauning Whisky's adventures. The tour goes further into production, where you get very close to each stage of whisky production. Along the way, you will taste three different types of whiskey. A unique experience for all senses where you can see, feel, smell and taste. \ After that, head to the nearby Lowlands distillery, which produces gin, schnapps and their very own spirits category, Solitary Spirit. Here you will be served a light tapas cuisine, which can be enjoyed with delicious cocktails containing Danish-produced alcohol, all while telling about the history of the Lowlands.

Whisky barrel tasting at Stauning Whisky

Have you ever wondered what whisky tastes like straight from the cask? You can find out at Stauning Whisky, when the tasting moves to the whisky warehouse. First, you will be shown around the production facility, where you will learn about malting, mashing, fermentation, distillation, and cask aging of whisky. The tour ends at the whisky warehouse, where you will taste award-winning whiskies straight from the cask. Smell Angels Share and hear about Devils Cut. There will be time for dialogue as you immerse yourself in the many impressions and hear about the importance of cask aging for taste and aroma. Hear, taste, and smell the difference between whisky that has just been put into casks and whisky that has been aged for several years.

What happens when the barrel is empty and the water of life has been drunk? Well, we have an empty barrel, and the best beer is stored in it. But why do you store beer in barrels—and what flavors does storage in the barrel give the beer? Join us on a journey of discovery through Stauning's whisky production. Hear the story of the adventure and experience each step of the production process up close and personal. From malting Danish barley and rye on the ground to distillation in 24 copper stills. In between, you can enjoy the beautiful architecture of the new distillery, which emphasizes both soul and openness. Finally, you can taste three different types of whisky and three beers stored in the same barrels, compare them and expand your knowledge of barrel storage.
