Can whiskey not only be enjoyed in a glass, but can a dish in the kitchen also be refined — or perhaps even inspired to create new flavor combinations and conversations?
Henning Svoldgaard, co-founder of Stauning Whisky and trained chef and waiter, invites you to a different kind of whiskey tasting in the heart of the distillery. Here, the focus is not only on percentages and barrel storage, but also on aromas, foods and innovative uses of whiskey.
Drawing on his culinary background, Henning shares his experience of integrating whiskey into cooking — from ideas for dishes where a stauning whiskey enhances the overall taste experience, to stories about cocktails and bold experiments that radiate curiosity and creativity. At the same time, attendees have the rare opportunity to taste whiskey that may never have been on sale before.
The event begins with the presentation and tasting of two carefully selected whiskies, accompanied by vivid stories about Stauning's journey and the many nuances of whiskey. This is followed by a guided tour of the distillery before the experience is rounded off with an exclusive tasting in Stauning's new tasting room — including whiskey straight from the tap.
