Can whisky not only be enjoyed in the glass, but also refine a dish in the kitchen — or perhaps even inspire new flavour combinations and conversations?
Henning Svoldgaard, co-founder of Stauning Whisky and trained chef and waiter, invites you to a different whisky tasting in the heart of the distillery. Here the focus is not just on percentages and barrel storage, but on flavors, food and innovative ways to use whiskey.
Drawing on his culinary background, Henning shares his experience of integrating whiskey into cooking — from ideas for dishes where a Stauning whiskey elevates the whole taste experience, to tales of cocktails and bold experiments that exude curiosity and creativity. At the same time, participants will have a rare opportunity to taste whiskey that may never have been available for sale before.
The event begins with the introduction and tasting of two carefully selected whiskies, accompanied by vivid tales of Stauning's journey and the whisky's many flavour nuances. This is followed by a tour of the distillery before the experience is rounded off with an exclusive tasting in Stauning's new tasting room — including whiskey straight from the barrel.
